    hey, um I was wondering what was the thing you added on at the end with the paint brush?
    Was that a dark clay or was it slip? or what?

    thanks for this, i have been making these in my ceramics class. Every time i mess up a vase, i cut off the top and make a flower bowl. Right now we are only working in red stoneware, so its tough to get those grooves with the paintbrush, so most of mine look more wavy, but very fun to make! thanks for the vid!

    Hi Dan, the overhead views are just great. The first time you did that it was a revelation, seeing what it would be like looking down at my hands trying to do what you’re doing. Demos are always great but I really like this perspective.

    Thanks for this new perspective, Dan. I tried it out yesterday but managed to do only a 3-petalled bowl cuz my bowl was a bit thick. It still looked better than anything the other students at my pottery class turned out, however, so I’m not complaining. I must try an 8-sided one like yours next week.
