For years, Jon Lorenzo Pettyjohn and Tessy San Juan Pettyjohn have been cleaning, crushing, screening and ageing clay from the ground. With quiet intensity, they have been whipping, slapping, slashing, pinching, and moulding clay on their potters’ wheel.
