In my school I think the stopped family studies, but that was a while back when I was like a lot younger.

I don’t think it’s fair to do that, its important people are introduced to new things, and it’s not fair for people unable to afford it.

well last year i think winter track and gymnastics were top on the chopping block…
this year [in my county] its the entire elementary school music program. i do think that cutting music would be a bad idea, since it’d effect the middle schoolers and high schoolers later…

When schools look to cut after school programs for lack of funding, which programs are typically cut first?
In 1993, laws were passed that put a cap on educational revenue. Since then many after school programs have been cut out of schools across the nation.

In your opinion, which specific programs (i.e. theatre, cheerleading, football, band, etc.) are typically cut first?

Why do you think these programs get cut first?

Do you think one program being deemed more important than another is fair?

Do you think that these programs are important to a child’s educational and personal development?
