Anyone know the title of a vintage craft book set about 26 or 27 hardcover books? They had misc craft projects

By: admin

I don't know if you guys will know the answer, but I figure I can try. I had a sixties or seventies craft set of books that are now gone. I can't find them again anywhere! There were something like 26 volumes of them, with a 27th that was the index. Each book had an assortment of misc crafts. They were a white or off white book base with orange trim and a picture of one of the projects on the cover of each book. I can't remember the name of the books or find them anywhere! There were projects to make a giant round lamp out of pottery clay that had little adobe houses on top. There was a special feature on a house made entirely out of recycled materials. There was a project prominently featured on the cover of one hardcover book that was a mix and match fabric handbag with fancy embroidery. Help me find these books! I loved them so much! Thanks so much!!!!! -Rose
FOUND IT! It's called the complete encyclopedia of crafts. Thanks! -Rose

I don't know the title of the set but they had all those book sets back in the 70's

Recommendations for BARCELONA & MARBELLA visit.?

By: admin
Published: September 12th, 2008

I'd love any great recommendations of what to do and see with my mature 13 yr old son while we spend several days in Barcelona and Marbella. I'd love to know what excursions OUTSIDE each town are "Not to be Missed". Also, for me, I'd love to know of special places to shop for unique items in both areas. Aside from fashion, I love art, pottery, glass. Any special design houses there please? Also, What beaches are the best to go to with a young teen boy? What are the FUNNNNN Restaurants? Should I rent a car? Thank you so much for anything you can share.

Dont miss out on Gaudi Art, la Sagrada Familia, park Guell, la catedral, pueblo espaƱol, at night la fuente de montjuic, local flee markets are great here one in glories metro stop, on sunday morning i think, great old unic stuff there!!! have fun its a great city be careful with your stuff on the metro!!!

Clay, and tools for beginners?

By: admin
Published: September 12th, 2008

what type of clay would u use for making meduim statues at ur house WITHOUT a kiln

also what tools are a must have for making them (i know u need a rolling pin, knife, etc…but any real pottery tools that make ur life easier)
i dont not want air dry clay because ill do the project over a couple of days due to how much free time i have :)

you could try using sculpey clay, its a polymer clay that you bake in the oven instead of a kiln. it can be found at you general art and craft store like a.c. moore or michael's. you will also find better trimming tools for shaping and whatnot at the craft store near where the clay is. whatever looks like it will make a useful mark for what you want is good to use. clay is a pretty resourcefulness based work style
